Durston House actively seeks to broaden access to the education it provides by offering financial support to pupils who might otherwise be precluded from joining the school.
The school is committed to the provision of bursaries (means-tested financial support), which may be awarded in the form of discount for up to 100% of the tuition fees payable, dependent on the financial circumstances of the applicants, and to assist with other chargeable activities for those awarded 100% bursaries.
Bursaries are offered to boys who seek to join the school in Years 3–7. A bursary is considered after a prospective pupil has been assessed and deemed suited, academically and emotionally, to the expectations of Durston House. His parents complete the Bursary Application Form, which is then evaluated by the school to see whether any form of bursary can be offered.
Information about the provision of bursaries, and the procedure for applying, can be obtained from the Registrar.

Durston House is a leading prep school located in Ealing, West London, providing an outstanding education in an inclusive, warm and dynamic environment for girls and boys aged 3–13.
In September 2023, Durston House became co-educational, welcoming boys and girls from Nursery through to Year 8. An education at Durston House is based upon academic rigour through excellent teaching, and encouraging our pupils to explore, question, take risks and develop their creativity, communication and teamwork – all central to successful lifelong learning.
Pupils are recognised and appreciated for who they are as individuals. There is a wholehearted commitment to a holistic education, in which each individual and their talents come first. Our pupils shape the community and are supported and nurtured by teachers who really care. The excellent pastoral care at Durston allows for the school to flourish as the happy and relaxed place that it is.
Durston House has a long, proud and impressive history of preparing pupils for the most prestigious senior schools in London and beyond. Our pupils leave heading to top Independent Schools, such as Hampton School, John Lyon School, Merchant Taylors’ School and St Paul’s School.
We are non-selective at Pre School and Reception, which is our main point of entry. Durston believes that academic success is achieved through excellent teaching and creating an environment where respect and values matter. In 2023, Durston House was awarded 17th on the ‘Top 20 Schools for Academic Results’ according to The Sunday Times Parent Power List, and while this is a superb accolade to have, we know the key to success is through hard work and a desire to improve continually. We place our pupils at the centre of everything we do and make sure every opportunity is taken so that each pupil is able to flourish.
