Day (full, Year 3 to Year 8): £7,450–£9,520, includes tuition, lunches, sport and many of our extracurricular activities. Flexi-day fee: £6,420, covers the full academic programme which is timetabled until 3.00 pm. Flexi-day fee pupils are welcome to take part in as many of the activities as suits you. Each activity session costs £30 and there are over 80 activities to choose from each week. You can opt in to as many activity sessions as you would like to. This enables you to design a timetable from the very wide range of activities to suit the interests of your child.
Established in 1884, Brockhurst & Marlston House is a leading independent preparatory school set in 500 acres of beautiful Berkshire countryside, just four miles from access to the M4. The school brings together the strengths of single-sex and co-educational education: boys and girls are taught separately through their early years, before joining together in Years 7 and 8, providing both an excellent academic education and a rich, supportive social environment.

Ridge House, our co-educational Pre-Prep, provides a nurturing environment for children aged 2–6 and is housed in purpose-designed, self-contained accommodation on the same beautiful site. The Pre-Prep also incorporates our 51-week-a-year Nursery, providing flexible care for younger children and their families.
Pupils are prepared for entry to a wide range of leading independent senior schools, with a strong record of success in academic, scholarship and specialist awards at both 11+ and 13+.
Sport is an integral part of life at Brockhurst & Marlston House. Girls take part in netball and hockey, while boys play rugby and football, with both enjoying tennis, cricket, athletics, cross-country and swimming in our 25-metre indoor heated pool. A wide range of additional activities includes riding at our own equestrian centre, fencing, judo, shooting, dance and ballet, alongside gymnastics and other activities in our purpose-built Sports Hall.
Music and Art are also central to our broad and ambitious curriculum. Pupils have recently achieved scholarships and awards to senior schools in these areas, supported by our dedicated Music School and professionally designed Theatre.
The school also provides a comprehensive transport service, including travel to and from airports and between Newbury and Paddington stations, with pupils accompanied by school staff throughout their journeys.
