An innovative education for an ever-changing world.
Queen Anne’s School has long been a trailblazer in single-sex education, empowering girls aged 11 to 18 to excel academically, emotionally, and socially. With 130 years of expertise, the school stands at the forefront of girls' education, creating an environment where young women thrive and grow into confident, capable leaders of tomorrow. Recent accolades, such as the Pastoral Care and Wellbeing award from the Talk Education Awards 2024, the HIEDA Clinical Excellence award for Practice Change Implementation, and recognition as Best of the Best in Pastoral Care by The Week Independent Schools Guide, reflect Queen Anne’s unwavering commitment to providing exceptional care. Our pioneering pastoral system underpins everything we do, ensuring that students are supported in mind, body, and spirit. Queen Anne’s continues to innovate through its digital learning programme, preparing girls for a fast-evolving world by cultivating both academic and technological proficiency. With a strong focus on nurturing Kind Hearts, Fierce Minds and Strong Spirits, the school empowers girls to embrace challenges, think independently and become future leaders. Queen Anne’s offers an expansive co-curricular programme that includes sports, performing arts and a wide range of clubs. These activities, combined with a strong alumnae network, provide students with invaluable life skills, career insights, and mentoring opportunities from accomplished women in various fields.
As a proud member of the Girls’ Schools Association (GSA), Queen Anne’s is part of a network of leading institutions dedicated to advancing the education of girls. The GSA's support ensures that our educational approach remains progressive and research-based, tailored specifically to meet the unique needs of young women.
In 2024, Queen Anne’s School was awarded the prestigious Microsoft Showcase School Award for the sixth year running. This award acknowledges the extensive digital teaching and learning that has become integral to the school's approach. The leading girls’ day and boarding school became one of just a small group of schools in the UK to be recognised by the international tech giants as leaders in digital learning. The school is also at the forefront of innovation with Artificial Intelligence (AI) and leads the Thames Valley AI in Education Network.
There’s something magical about the place, it’s as much about life preparation as academics. With such an array of first class facilities, tip top pastoral care, plus a culture of female empowerment, we think it’s definitely one for the list of any parent for whom happiness & roundedness are top priorities.’Good Schools Guide
