The Study Preparatory School provides a happy and stimulating learning environment for girls from 4 to 11 on two very attractive and well-equipped sites adjacent to Wimbledon Common.
The girls enjoy a rich diversity of experiences, both in and out of the classroom. The school is renowned for its creative ethos, and has had Artsmark Gold status by Arts Council England since 2009. Each girl is encouraged to do her best academically, and excellent teaching standards encourage academic rigour and challenge. Music and sport are exceptionally strong, while drama, public-speaking and a varied clubs programme play an important part. Guest speakers, fundraising events, workshops and school trips all help the children to understand important issues beyond the school gates. Good manners and consideration for others are encouraged at all times. Girls leave at 11+, very well prepared for the next stage of their education, with a zest for learning and many happy memories. Girls receive offers from leading day and boarding senior schools, many with academic or performance scholarships, with a total of 57 scholarships and awards offered in 2022 for 2023 Secondary school entry.
Entry is non-selective at Reception and by assessment thereafter.
Charitable status. The Study (Wimbledon) Ltd is a Registered Charity, number 271012. It exists to provide education for girls from 4 to 11.
