Tockington Manor School and Nursery is an independent co-educational Preparatory school set in 28 acres of lovely countryside in the picturesque village of Tockington, South Gloucestershire. Pupils are welcomed from age 2 to 13+.
Our small, friendly classes and family approach to education provide bespoke learning for every child. We pride ourselves in delivering a varied timetable geared to the needs of each pupil, but with emphasis on the core subjects of English, Mathematics and Science. We aim to provide an environment that is positive, supportive and disciplined within a warm, caring family atmosphere. Pupils are encouraged to be confident, considerate and accomplished free thinkers. All pupils take part in all aspects of school life, academic or otherwise, making the most of every moment.
The school works closely with parents to prepare every pupil for Common Entrance and Scholarships to appropriate Independent Senior Schools. We have an enviable 100% success rate in delivering entry into their first-choice Senior Schools, with many being awarded scholarships in Academia, Sport, Music, Drama and Design Technology. Our Pathway Programme for Years 7 and 8 pupils offers an exciting array of events and support for those with exceptional talent in sport, music, academia, art, music and drama.
Nursery. Tockington Manor Nursery is set in a refurbished converted barn within the school grounds. Each child is encouraged to learn through ‘hands-on’ experience overseen by their dedicated Nursery Practitioner, who is specially trained to nurture and extend the development of every child. Children benefit from the wider school facilities, tending to their own ‘cottage style’ vegetable garden, discovering nature and forest skills on ‘welly walks’ or enjoying weekly swimming lessons in the school’s indoor heated pool.
The School website has further details or a copy of the School’s prospectus is available on request by emailing the Registrar, email: registrar@tockingtonmanorschool.com. The Headmaster will be delighted to give a tour of the School to prospective parents upon request.
