Beaudesert Park offers a number of means-tested Bursaries each academic year for children from Year 4 and above, whose parents would not otherwise be able to afford a Beaudesert education. In addition, we can help secure funding beyond Year 8 with an appropriate senior school.
Bursaries worth from 80% to 100% of fees take into account a family’s financial circumstances. Application forms can be obtained from the School Office and should be submitted by the end of November for admission the following September. Academic assessment is via Beaudesert teachers and a report from the child’s current school. Decisions regarding awards are made by the end of the Spring term.

Thriving country prep. A thriving prep school with a family feel, Beaudesert sits in glorious grounds on the edge of 500 acres of National Trust common land, surrounded by Cotswolds countryside.
Parents speak of a happy, confidence-building school with excellent teachers and knockout facilities – a place where children are able to enjoy the important business of childhood for as long as possible. Children are encouraged to lay deep roots, grow with confidence, branch out in many directions, and live to reach for ever increasing heights.
At the heart of Beaudesert is the warmth and strength of its relationships, creating an unrivalled atmosphere where all members of the school community feel valued, supported and inspired.
Be curious, be yourself, belong. The School is non-selective but is ambitious for every child to reach their full potential. An embedded culture of growth mindset and an encouragement to be curious, questioning and critical thinkers, underpins the philosophy within Beaudesert classrooms. As a truly independent prep school, Beaudesertians move on to over 20 different senior schools, many with scholarships and awards to their chosen schools.
From Nursery to Year 8, children are inspired to participate in sport, step out of their comfort zone in the arts, and pursue their personal passions through the vast array of clubs and activities available.
Boarding evenings are full of spirit and excitement, with different activities on offer each evening, all supported by teachers and our close-knit team of boarding houseparents, tutors and matrons.
Stand-out facilities. The School is very well equipped and includes a high-spec, multi-functional Performing Arts Centre, three science labs, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, sports hall, Art Studio and Design Technology department – not to mention a thriving Forest School. The Nursery and Reception class areas include free-flow inside–outside spaces, and part of the dormitories was refurbished in 2024. There are also AstroTurf tennis courts and a multi-use games area within the 30-acre site, and 15 acres of sports fields. Despite its rural location, the School is within 20 minutes of the M4 and M5 motorways and within easy reach of the surrounding towns of Bath, Bristol, Cheltenham, Cirencester, Gloucester and Swindon.
Rich heritage brought up to date. Founded in 1908 in Warwickshire, the School moved lock, stock and barrel to its hilltop spot in Gloucestershire in 1918. In 2018, Beaudesert celebrated 100 years of being in glorious Gloucestershire. The School celebrated receiving international accreditation with its 'Green Flag' award in 2022, which it has continued to retain. The award recognises its commitment to supporting the local and global environment.
Charitable status. Beaudesert Park is a Registered Charity, number 311711. It exists to provide education for boys and girls in a caring atmosphere.
