Luckley House School

Luckley House School is a thriving co-educational independent school, located in Wokingham, Berkshire.
Offering day and flexible boarding provision for pupils in Years 7 to 13, the School is set in attractive grounds with excellent facilities, and at just 40 miles from London, is the perfect location for boarders.
Our uniqueness lies in the combination of our size, Christian ethos and flexibility to meet the needs of individual pupils and their families. We provide a distinctly academic education that is tailored to the individual needs of each pupil. This is offered in the context of a broad curriculum which celebrates the arts and sports, as much as academic achievement.
When a young person leaves Luckley, for whatever pathway they choose, we recognise their success. If they are properly equipped and full of excitement and enthusiasm for the next stage of their life, then they are already successful. For some, this may mean a clutch of the highest grades, but for others it will be a spread of grades in the exams. And these grades will not be the whole story; every young person will have learnt and developed along the way. For every list of grades there is a young person full of potential.
Luckley was founded on its present site in 1918. In 1959, it amalgamated with Oakfield School, established in 1895 in the Lake District. Initially the school was administered by the Church Society but in 1969 it became an independent educational trust.
Luckley boasts fantastic facilities: the school is set in beautiful, safe and secure grounds, with modern classrooms, new science laboratories, contemporary boarding accommodation, a state-of-the-art music centre and stunning performing arts centre and conference theatre, well-equipped art studios and a large sports centre with extensive playing fields, an all-weather pitch, tennis courts, fitness suite, climbing wall and fully sprung dance floor.
The curriculum is broad and challenging with pupils taking 9.5 subjects for GCSE. A wide variety of A level courses is offered and almost every student goes on to higher education as a preparation for careers in, for example, Languages, Medicine, Engineering, Law, Business and Design.
The School has a well-deserved reputation for Art, Drama, Music and Sport and offers a range of other activities including The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award scheme and Combined Cadet Force. Boarders and Day students are encouraged to join in this extensive programme of extracurricular activities.
Boarding. Weekly and flexi boarding offer the opportunity to experience the fun of boarding while keeping close links with home and avoiding long daily journeys. Full boarding, with an extensive weekend activity programme, can provide a stable and secure education for pupils whose schooling would otherwise be interrupted.
Ethos. Luckley House School is built on the Christian foundations of love and service. We enable our students to thrive in a secure and encouraging environment, thereby equipping each pupil to be resourceful and resilient, and ready to take on the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.
Fees per term (2025-2026).
School Fees, including VAT: Day £8,780, Weekly Boarding £12,210, Full Boarding £15,360, Flexi-boarding (per night, with 48 hours notice) £60.
