A key part of the St Paul's Strategic Plan is the expansion of scholarship programme to open the school to ever greater diversity of talent and ensuring that the school is no longer just available to those lucky enough to afford the fees. This has included the very recent creation of the St Paul’s Endowment, an innovative initiative to raise funds and help the school to achieve its centennial target of having 10% of its Senior School pupils in receipt of financial assistance.
The endowment supports the work of the St Paul’s Foundation Scholarship Programme. The Foundation’s mission is to offer fully funded places for the education of talented children living in Brazil, whose family income cannot cover the costs of an international education.
The St Paul’s Endowment also provides for the Bursary Fund, to support candidates who are not eligible to apply to the St Paul’s Foundation. These are scholars who are entitled to a partial fee assistance depending on the results of means testing. Parents of the school who are working to overcome a temporary financial hardship will also have the assistance of the endowment.

St. Paul’s School was the first British School to be established in São Paulo (Brazil) and continues to offer an Anglo-Brazilian curriculum, embracing the best of both cultures. As an all-through (ages 3–18) co-educational school, offering the IGCSE and IB Diploma Programme courses to pupils, we are affiliated to a global network of top UK Schools through our membership of HMC (Headmaster’s Conference) and COBIS (Council of British International Schools). With over 100 years old, we draw on our proud heritage as the first British school in Latin America to be recognised as a British School Overseas (BSO) by the UK government. Yet, we look forward with creativity and confidence.
At St. Paul’s we always strive to be our better selves. We have the courage of our convictions, essential values, freedom to imagine and create. This is achieved through our high-quality British and Brazilian holistic education which drives the personal and academic development of pupils, within a framework of a caring, inclusive and united community.
It is our aim to discover the passion and talents of every pupil, and create the right environment to develop these. The school prides itself on an excellent enrichment programme ranging from MUN to Duke of Edinburgh, from knitting classes to a robotics programme, from mathematical Olympiads to outstanding drama and music. The school is a positive agent of change, helping its pupils to be caring individuals ready to inspire and mobilise those around them to impact the world for the best. Our commitment to broad educational experiences opens many opportunities for pupils who go on to leading universities in the United Kingdom, America and Brazil.
