Spring Grove is a co-educational Day Preparatory School for children aged 2 to 11, widely known for its family ethos and feel. It is located in a stunning rural location just outside the village of Wye, between Ashford and Canterbury. The school offers a first-class education, preparing children for both grammar and senior independent school entry.
The facilities include an award-winning Nursery, School Hall, Art Room, Science Room, Music Room, well-equipped Classrooms, and Multi-Use Games Area. The grounds contain the main school buildings and 14 acres of playing fields.
Spring Grove has a strong tradition of academic excellence, exceptionally lively music, drama and art departments, Forest School, and children who are inspired with a sense of wonder about the world. Emphasis is placed on excellent teaching in a caring yet well-structured atmosphere with close contact maintained between parents and teachers. Typically around 55% of leavers go to grammar schools, and around 35% to senior independent schools, many with scholarships.
The curriculum includes Music, Drama, Art, Dance, Forest School, PE and extracurricular activities. Athletics, cricket/kwik cricket, cross-country, football, hockey, netball, tennis, swimming and rugby are the principal games.
