Established in 1925, Tanglin Trust School is the oldest British international school in Southeast Asia. The school provides the English National Curriculum with an international perspective to children from 3 to 18 years in Singapore.
Tanglin is a vibrant, co-educational school of around 2,850students representing over 50 nationalities, providing a unique learning environment for children from Nursery through to Sixth Form. As a not-for-profit school, tuition fees are devoted entirely to the provision of an outstanding education. Tanglin is the first school in Singapore to offer a dual pathway of A-level or the IB Diploma at Sixth Form, with the widest array of subject choices on offer.
The school has an excellent academic reputation, with examination results that consistently surpass Singapore and global averages. Around 96% of Tanglin graduates typically receive their first or second choice university offer, gaining places at some of the world’s most prestigious institutions.
Tanglin is the only international school in Singapore to be inspected by British Schools Overseas (BSO). In 2025, Tanglin was once again rated "outstanding" in every category; including the quality of education, students' personal development and behaviour, welfare and safety, and leadership and management. They also praised the school for its "exceptional curriculum."
The school offers outstanding sports facilities along with high-level coaching, designed to support students at every stage of their sporting journey – from beginner to elite level.
Tanglin’s integrated range of top-tier facilities includes a covered 50 m Aquatics Centre, an Olympic-standard Gymnastics Centre with spectator galleries, a 15 m climbing wall, a high performance athletic development gym and on-site physiotherapy. These anchor the campus’s full-size playing field, multi-purpose halls, and 25 m outdoor pool supporting a wide variety of sports across all ages.
At the heart of Tanglin’s holistic approach is its diverse and expansive Co-Curriculum programme, which across the school year sees 96% of students – from the Infant School right through to Sixth Form participating in 383 activities. The co-curriculum develops students’ talents beyond the classroom, offers academic challenge, nurtures wellbeing and encourages contribution to the wider community.
Tanglin believes this high participation fosters a vibrant and dynamic school culture in which students explore interests and develop new skills.
The Institute at Tanglin is the school’s award-winning centre for thought leadership and scholarship. Through its lectures, workshops, and partnerships, it encourages students to think critically about future trends, engage in global affairs, and pursue entrepreneurial ambitions. Tanglin’s commitment to a holistic education is exemplified by the launch of Tanglin Gippsland, its 15-acre campus in Australia, home to the immersive Year 9 Highlands Programme. This five-week residential experience is now an established part of the Tanglin Middle School curriculum, Such opportunities provide Tanglin students with a full and enriching school life, centred around the school’s core values of Respect, Responsibility and Purpose.
“Throughout my time at Tanglin, I’ve always found myself surrounded by a strong sense of community, where there is an incredibly involved level of support from the beginning, both academically and outside the classroom.” – Nishka C., Tanglin Lead Student 2025/26
