Twyford School is situated at the edge of the beautiful South Downs, just two miles from the historic city of Winchester and the M3. Twyford is a family school that aims to offer an all-round, top-rate education with a Christian ethos. Most pupils are day pupils but, from Year 4, many board one or two nights a week through the school’s flexi boarding system. By the final year, many weekly board, which makes an excellent preparation for their move to senior school. The contrast between the modern facilities (classrooms, laboratories, music school, cookery school, creative arts and ICT block, swimming pool and sports centre) and the Victorian chapel and hall creates a rich and stimulating environment.
The school regularly achieves scholarships – 24 awards (academic, art, design, sport and music) in 2025 – to major senior schools such as Winchester College, St Swithun’s, Canford, Marlborough, Godolphin, Wellington College, Charterhouse School, Bradfield, Bryanston, Eton, King Edward VI Southampton, St Mary’s Calne, Stowe School, Sherborne Boys and Sherborne Girls.
Charitable status. Twyford School is a Registered Charity, number 307425. It exists to provide education for children.
